Alliance bug

Game over man, game over!

So, I'm playing as the United Federation of Planets, and every time I form an alliance with another empire I get the defeat screen. No mods, only UFP, UFP TOS workshop races for this particular save. Save is here.

EDIT: DLCs installed are everything except Intrigue.

The last time someone reported a problem exactly like this it turned out that the civ he formed an alliance with already had alliances with all the other civs, so it won an alliance victory. Are you sure your case is different?

Well drat, that does seem to be the case. A pity, that leaves me with a tech victory.

The other option would be to play with more civs on a bigger map.
